The College of the Environment recently provided updates about the leadership of several units within the College, including the news that John Horne has been reappointed as the director of the Cooperative Institute for Climate, Ocean, and Ecosystem Studies.

Horne leads our multi-pronged research effort into climate, ocean chemistry, fisheries and tsunamis. He is also a professor of aquatic and fishery sciences, and his research leverages acoustical techniques to understand the spatial structure and abundance of aquatic organisms, which in turn is used to inform resource management.
