Submitting Proposals Through the NOAA Cooperative Agreement

CICOES works with the UW department to prepare the proposal which must be submitted on Grants.gov.

Required from Department

  • Budget
  • Budget justification
  • Short project description
  • CICOES questions/info form

CICOES can help prepare the budget and justification and offer guidance on what is required for the project description

Contact: This is then e-mailed to Choong Kim who will put the proposal together for submission through grants.gov, prepare the eGC1 and work with UW’s Office of Sponsored Programs on submitting the proposal.

Submitting proposals outside the NOAA Coopertive Agreement (e.g., NSF, etc.)

Complete the CICOES grant and proposal information sheet and submit it with the following documents to Nenad Grubisa here at CICOES:

  • Budget
  • Budget justification
  • Current and pending support (may not be needed for all proposals)
  • Bio sketch(es) (may not be needed for all proposals
  • Facilities page (may not be needed for all proposals)
  • If there are any subawards in the proposal, the following items also need to submitted:
    • budget and budget justification from subawardee institution
    • statement of work from subawardee institution

The above should be submitted as soon as possible, and the final version of them and the project narrative must be submitted to CIOCES at least 7 working days before the sponsor deadline.  If the proposal involves any PMEL resources (including space, computing and effort of Federal employees), approval from PMEL must be obtained, but submitting the CICOES-PMEL Proposal Approval form at least one week before the proposal deadline.

If CICOES is a SUBAWARD on another institution’s grant proposal, the following items are needed from the PI:
